Why I Created Memory Rakhi
“Growing up, my sister and I exchanged rakhis every single year — and every single year, the thread was gone within a week. Frayed, lost, thrown out. The bond never faded, but nothing physical ever survived to remind us of it.
Memory Rakhi started with one photograph — the two of us at our grandmother's house, taken on a disposable camera in 2003. I had it engraved onto a small silver pendant as an experiment. When my sister opened it, she didn't say a word for almost a minute.
That's the moment I knew this needed to exist for other siblings too — not another thread that disappears by next year, but something crafted to outlast the festival itself.
